ABOUT THE ARTIST

"Mandy Orr is a local Fort Worth artist who specializes in "wearable art". Her creations range from wear-everyday jewelry collections that can complete any outfit to elaborate gallery pieces that invite you to dress according to them.

 

These "Spirit Patterns" have been born of Mandy's imagination and powers of divination. They become more than the some of their parts and allow the holder to grasp some magic between their fingers. Mandy combines stone, glass, natural materials and other inspiring objects into one of a kind presentations.

 

The designs originate from Mandy's connection with her intuitive powers; her connection with that which is beyond our physical bodies. The beads speak to her in their ancient languages. They call out to be combined, entwined, wrapped, and spun into a sacred dance together.

The sometimes unusual pairing of materials and masterful construction allow her pieces to embody their own attitude and personality. Each piece has its own energy, history, and purpose. The language of stones and crystals is ancient and infinite.
