Meaning/Inspiration:
This necklace was commissioned by a dear friend of mine, for her
mother for Mother's Day. My client, was in the process
of moving out, having found her love and was beginning the cycle
from maiden to mother herself. Having met the mother a few
times and hearing stories of the transition she is making from
mother to crone, (all kids out of the house) I was overly inspirited
by the moon, the triple Goddess, Maiden, Mother and Crone, as well
as the relationship of Mother and Child and how that changes
throughout life.
Now, CRONE is a GOOD
WORD! Ha Ha, I know it has had some unpleasant connotations
with it, but in ancient times it meant a wise mother who had
grown up her children and now held the wisdom and power to pass on
to her children and children's children. Now that sounds
better huh? :)
AGATE, the 3 spheres
stones, represent the triple goddess, Maiden, Mother and Crone.
Agate is the stone of mother and child especially helpful during
labor. It also brings protection, clarity to see who is true
in one's life and not as well as aid in prosperity. The black
cubes are ONYX, which has had a mystical association with it because
of it's deep black void color. Onyx however promotes
self-confidence, success and influences and helps all chakras.
An overall wonderful stone for contemplation!*
